Mountain Ash Yarnery and Gift Store is a small, bright green shop in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. It is tucked away in the quiet part of Olinda (some call it lower Olinda, some call it Mount Dandenong).
Bright green on the outside, mellow and relaxing on the inside.
I purchased the business on 1st May 2021 and my dream is to create a shop filled with beautiful yarn, local demos of spinning yarn, classes in crochet/knitting and spinning, inspiring chats as we sit in a calming environment crocheting (or whichever craft you choose) with friends around the table, or wondering in to purchase something (gift wrapped if that is your wish) you need or want and leaving with a smile!
We offer many different items catering to young and old! Our products include yarn (mostly specialty yarn), locally made items, soaps, candles, room fragrances, mugs, children’s toys, jewellery, drawing pencils, baby gifts and all sorts of other delightful goodies.

Thank you to all who have stood by me, encouraged, guided and helped me as I took what is maybe a brave change in career – (or perhaps silly!) …You never know until you try.

Many businesses in the Dandenong Ranges were closed four weeks due to the local devastating storm damage. Not to mention before and afterwards due to covid lockdowns. You can really help by visiting us now we are open.

Mountain Ash is a beautiful shop, with beautiful, unique products and the service is just amazing. I always feel so welcomed and I just love all the products, especially the yarn corner and the jewellery.
This is one of my favourite shops to visit.
